Lou Costello Park
Maintaining and Migrating Great Falls Historic District Standard
Home > Featured Projects > Lou Costello Park
Background
Paterson NJ and specifically the Great Falls region, played a significant role in the early industrial development of New Jersey with roots in the colonial era. The falls and surrounding area are protected as part of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, established in 2009.
When the time came to revitalize Lou Costello Park, originally dedicated in 1992, the town’s existing historic streetlights were falling into disrepair. The town wanted to maintain the existing streetscape aesthetic while integrating the latest in LED technology.
